About Ready Set Field

Ready Set Field is an independent baseball teaching site for youth players, parents, and coaches. It turns common game situations into visual field diagrams, short role notes, and step-by-step movement.

How to use a play

Choose a situation, check the runners and outs, then use Next to move through the play. Select a defender to see their job and follow their movement. Switch to Player View to see the field from behind that defender.

Start with one player's job. Run the steps again, then ask the player to explain where they go and why.

About the project

Ready Set Field is an independent project. The diagrams and position notes are maintained as part of this site. Contact us to suggest a play or report a correction.

The site is not affiliated with Major League Baseball, Little League Baseball, or a school, league, or team.

At practice

The diagrams are general baseball teaching aids. Coaches, parents, and players should follow their own league rules, team instructions, and adult supervision when practicing or playing.
