P Pitcher

Sprint behind the plate and stay there until the play ends.

C Catcher

Communicate the target at home and finish the relay under control.

1B First Base

Hold first until the relay is clearly headed somewhere else.

2B Second Base

Trail the relay from the middle and protect second if the cutoff or throw is missed.

SS Shortstop

Be the main cutoff from left field and keep your shoulders lined to the plate.

3B Third Base

Own third early and be ready for the trail runner once the lead runner heads home.

LF Left Field

If the ball is yours, charge it cleanly. If not, slide behind the play as backup.

CF Center Field

Support the ball side and be ready to clean up any throw that gets away.

RF Right Field

Stay balanced off the ball side so the outfield stays covered if the relay is missed.
